MEN’S SOCCER

Huntington forward Higor Barbieri garnered national attention this week by being voted the NAIA National Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Barbieri fueled the Foresters’ offense last week by scoring the game’s first goal in a 2-1 win over #14 Indiana Tech. The junior playmaker then found back netting twice in a 4-0 decision over IU East.

To date, Barbieri has five goals this season. The junior is the program’s first NAIA National Player of the Week since Gabe Greenfield was named the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week in November of 2018.

HU is 6-2 on the season. Barbieri and crew are back in action tomorrow to host Manchester at 4:00 p.m.
