SEWING project: Feminine Hygiene Products for Liberia
We will be sewing tonight, Thursday, October 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Our sewing project is helping to make feminine hygiene products to send to Liberia and South Sudan to help enable girls be able to stay in school and graduate. You do NOT need to know how to sew. We can either teach you or have you help with the many other steps that do not involve sewing.
We would love to have you join us. We sew at a “sewing barn” that houses about 20 sewing machines located a few miles north of town. We have snacks and great conversations — a great “break” from studying. If you would like to join, contact Prof. Nancy Richison at nrichison@huntington.edu. Everyone is welcome!
Future Sewing Dates:
- Saturday, October 22, 3:30-5:50 p.m.
- Thursday, October 27, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
