INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

For the second time this season, freshman Addy Wiley has been named the Crossroads League Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Wiley proved she’s one of the best in the business over the weekend at the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track in North Carolina. The Huntington native topped a field of NCAA Division I and professional athletes in the mile by clocking in at 4:32.15.

With this win, Wiley became the first collegiate female in meet history to win a Camel City Elite race. She also set a new facility record and shattered the NAIA all-time indoor mile record by more than five seconds.

Wiley’s mile time is currently #2 in the nation across all collegiate divisions. She holds five top times in the NAIA which includes the 600M, 800M, 1000M, mile and 3000M.

Next up for Huntington is the GVSU Big Meet on Friday.
