MEN’S GOLF
The HU men’s golf team posted a sixth place finish at the Pilot Spring Invitational over the weekend. After carding a 313 on Friday, the Foresters shaved off 12 strokes on Saturday with a 301 for an overall score of 614.
It was a tight finish as just seven strokes separated third through eighth place.
After firing a 78 in round one, Mitchell Wilson shot three-under with a 69 on his next 18 holes to turn in a 147 good for tenth place overall out of 57 golfers. Carter Roseboom finished in 20th with a 153 (79-74). Brenner Lampton was one-stroke back at 154 (75-79) for 25th place. Colby Martin shot a 160 (81-79) for 41st place while Kaleb Ketchum (83-80) and Hank Pulver (80-84) posted 163 and 164 respectively.
Cedarville took home the team title with a one-under 575 followed by Olivet Nazarene (591), Holy Cross (609), Cornerstone (610), Saint Francis (612), HU (614), Bethel (615), St. Francis (IL) (616), Aquinas (620) and Concordia (633).
The Foresters wrap up the year with the Crossroads League Championships slated for May 1-2 at Chariot Run.
