WOMEN’S TENNIS

The HU women’s tennis team hosted Spring Arbor for their home opener Saturday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts. The Cougars spoiled the day by handing their hosts a 6-1 loss.

Courtney Rich picked up the Foresters’ only point of the afternoon at #3 singles where she topped Rebekah Pake in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3.

With this loss, Huntington drops to 1-2 on the season, 0-2 in league play. The Foresters head to NCAA Division I Valparaiso on Monday for a 4:00 p.m. matchup with the Beacons.
