MEN’S GOLF

The HU men’s golf team turned in a 607 (305-302) at Bethel-hosted Battle at Blackthorn over the weekend to finish sixth out of 12 teams.

Peyton Richmond led his team with a 147 (75-72). Luke Vandeventer was two strokes back with a 156 (74-75). Mitchell Wilson carded a 78 both days for a 156. Carter Roseboom also posted a 156 (79-77) while Colby Martin shot a 162 (78-84).

The Pilots kept the team title at home by shooting a 575 followed by Grace (579), Taylor (581), IU Kokomo (598), Olivet Nazarene (602), HU (607), Holy Cross (617), Indiana Tech (618), Mount Vernon (629), Saint Xavier (650), Bethel B (651) and Holy Cross B (669).

The Foresters are back in action for The Rupp on October 9 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn (Mich.).
