Ethiopian Jews as Black Jews: A Brief History

This is a reminder: The Centre for Non-Western Studies hosts a Zoom-based talk from Israel by Dr. Samuel Legesse. Dr. Samuel, an Ethiopian-born Jew and an American citizen, will share a brief history about Ethiopian Jews in Israel and their time in Ethiopia before they returned to Israel.

Dr. Samuel will also share his reflections on what it is like to be a Black Jew both in Israel and in America. This talk will provide us with a non-Western perspective on the story of Black Jews.

This event is scheduled for November 28 at 7:00 p.m. The venue for the talk is the classroom in RichLyn Library.
