Mental Health Tip: Sticking to a Routine
College is a time of busyness — lots of schoolwork to find time for, exams to take, sports practices to attend, extracurriculars to make, and on-campus events to go to. With all that is on your plate, finding time to exercise, let alone sleep a full eight hours, is hard enough! Sticking to a routine to establish regular habits during the semester for sleep, exercise, studying, and other activities can help minimize stress and find needed time to rest and take care of yourself. Pouring from an empty cup leaves us depleted, tired, and run-down. Taking the initiative to set time aside to reset and build a routine will affect your health and well-being in the long run for the best.
