INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The Huntington Indoor Track & Field program will be well represented at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships set for February 27 – March 1 at the Alachua County Sports & Event Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Fla.

The HU women are entered in four individual running events, the DMR and high jump with freshman Olivia Howell claiming the highest seed for the Foresters. Making her nationals debut, she is picked to finish sixth in the 800 meters and is also a member of the distance medley relay team that is seeded tenth.

Junior Mackenzie Brewer will also be toeing the line of the 800 as the 16th-seed. With two All-American praises in the DMR already under her belt, she will also represent Roark’s crew in this race.

Senior Emily Tedder will look to add to her collection of All-American medals. With four indoor track All-American shoutouts to her name, she is saving some of her best for last. In addition to running a leg of the DMR, she is also set to run the mile as the 7th-seed and the 3000 meters as the 9th-seed.

For the second time in Forester green, junior Abbey Gentz will line-up for the 5000 meters where she is picked to finish 18th. She is also an alternate for the DMR.

Erica Xayarath and Josey Reineman will represent Huntington in high jump. The pair enter the event both seeded 20th. No stranger to the big stage, Xayarath has a national title and six All-American honors to her name.

Joining Tedder, Howell and Brewer on the distance medley relay team will be junior Trysta Hilton. Lydia Baker, Brielle Fehlmann and Anna Jeannin are traveling with the team as alternates.

On the men’s side, senior Zach Collins is poised for a big week. In addition to competing in the 200 and 400 meters where he is seeded 8th and 6th respectively, he will also represent HU as a member of the 4th-seeded 4×400 meter relay team.

In his first season with the Foresters, junior Nathan Farinha is following suit. Just like Collins, he will run a leg of the 4×400 in addition to toeing the line of the 200 (17th seed) and 400 (14th).

HU will be well represented in the 400 meters as freshman Jan Busam is also entered in this event as the 5th seed. To no one’s surprise, he will also be joining Collins and Farinha as a member of the 4×400 relay as will freshman Celestin Trambloy.

Freshman Jayden Williams is set to run the 800 meters as the 20th seed. Junior Tyler Loucks, seeded 25th, is making his nationals debut in the 3000 meter race walk.

The Foresters will also be represented in the 4×800 meter relay as the 24th seed. Reece Gibson, Jonah Lemon and Jackson Smith are set to race with the fourth spot to be filled by either Jayden Williams, Hawkins Marihugh or Wyatt Harrington.

Athletes who finish in the top eight in the prelims of their race advance to the finals. Below is the schedule of events for the Foresters.
