WOMEN’S GOLF
The Huntington University women’s golf team capped off an outstanding fall campaign with a team title at the Saints Classic, hosted by Holy Cross College at the Warren Golf Club. The Foresters topped the four-team field with a two-round total of 680 (+104), outpacing the host Saints by nearly 40 strokes.
After posting a 345 (+57) in the opening round, Huntington surged ahead on day two with a 16-stroke improvement, carding a 335 (+47) to seal the win.
Magnolia Miller led the Foresters with a two-day score of 163 (84–79) to claim individual medalist honors, while Grace Dill matched Miller’s closing-round 79 to finish close behind at 165 (86–79). Riley Kitson contributed solid rounds of 84 and 83 for a 167 (+25) total, and both Aniyah Copeland and Madelyn Weaver turned in matching scores of 180 (90–90) to round out the lineup.
Holy Cross finished runner-up at +143, followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (+149) and Indiana-Kokomo (+151).
The Saints Classic victory marks a strong finish to the fall season for Huntington, as the Foresters will now look to build on the success as they prepare for spring competition.
