MEN’S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

University Center, Mich. – The Huntington University men’s indoor track & field team opened its 2025–26 campaign at the SVSU Holiday Open, posting several early-season personal records and solid team performances. The Foresters displayed depth in sprints, mid-distance, and field events while making a strong statement in the 400m and relay events.

TOP PERFORMERS 

Sprints & Hurdles 

  • Junior Sam Handerson ran 6.94 to qualify in the 60m prelims. 

  • Sophomore Isaac Lee set a personal best in the 60m with 7.06. 

  • Junior Parker Richards clocked 7.07 in the 60m and 22.67 in the 200m. 

  • Sophomore Zane Hydock ran a PR 7.65 in the 60m and 24.69 in the 200m. 

400m & Relays 

  • Huntington ran two strong 4x400m relays: 

  • ‘A’ team: 3:14.17 (N. Wellington, C. Trambloy, J. Busam, J. Williams) 

  • ‘B’ team: 3:26.92 (H. Marihugh, I. Lee, L. Wyrick, R. Quake) 

Middle & Long Distance 

  • Freshman Benjamin Roberts ran 4:31.75 in the mile. 

  • Senior Tyler Loucks led the 3,000m in 10:01.45, with strong support from freshmen Dylan Neese (10:21.05) and Jayden Cornett (10:36.39). 

  • Freshmen Lance Wyrick and Ryker Quake competed in the 800m with times of 1:59.90 and 2:07.13, respectively. 

Field Events 

  • Freshman Caleb Farr vaulted 4.20m in the pole vault. 

LOOKING FORWARD 

The Foresters return to action later this month at the Indiana Tech Invite in Fort Wayne on Thursday, December 11, continuing the team’s opening-season development and building toward more competitive meets in January.
