Get Involved with Forester Radio!
Forester Radio is HU’s nationally-recognized FM and streaming radio station, and we have several opportunities for you to get involved!
Opportunity #1: We are hiring a new Media Manager. This person is in charge of creating/editing weekly logs, producing creative and informative radio spots for various events and underwriters, and adding new materials to the station software. It is a paid position that requires around 3-5 hours of work per week (though this may fluctuate based on station and student schedules). Email radio@huntington.edu if interested in applying.
Opportunity #2: The class DM231 Intro to Radio and Voiceover is being offered THIS SPRING! If you’ve never done much with radio or voiceover but want to learn the basics and have some fun doing it, this class is for you. Meets M/W/F 10:00-10:50 a.m. Might be the last time this is offered for a while—or ever—so if you’re interested but have a conflicting class, talk to your advisor about options.
Opportunity #3: Contribute your on-air talents to Forester Radio by enrolling in DM395RADIO Practicum in Radio (available for at least the next 3 semesters). While prior experience is helpful, it is not required — we can provide training if needed. Participate in weekly radio shifts (both voice-tracked and live) and produce creative spots for a variety of station needs.
If you have questions about any of these opportunities, please reach out to station manager Ryan Long.
