Financial Aid March To-Do List

  1. Complete your 2026-2027 FAFSA by April 15
  • Missing the April 15 deadline means you will not be considered for Indiana State Aid is you are an Indiana resident, which could cost you up to $10,600 in lost funding
  • Submit at: studentaid.gov
  1. Search for scholarships in your field

       Professional associations

  • Look up associations that match your intended major (both state and nationally)
    • Examples: Indiana Nursing Association, Michigan Agriculture Association, Ohio Teachers Association
  • Check their websites for available scholarships

     Large companies in your field

  • Search for major companies connected to your area of study
    • Example: Farm Credit offers significant scholarships for agriculture majors
  1. Check out your local Community Foundation for scholarships
  • Submission deadlines are coming up
