Sewing Volunteer Opportunity: Feminine Hygiene Products for Overseas
Sewing events this week!
We have two opportunities to volunteer with our sewing project this week: Tonight, Thursday, March 26, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with the Spring Serve Day. We are sewing feminine hygiene products to send to young women in Liberia to help enable them to stay in school and now we are also sending them to Sierra Leone, West Africa, as well.
Everyone is welcome to join! We would love volunteers to help sew; no experience is necessary. We have both sewing and non-sewing work to do, and we can easily teach you how to sew if you want to learn! It is a great time to relax and socialize with others, while still assisting in a worthwhile cause.
Please contact Nancy Richison at nrichison@huntington.edu for directions and more information.
