OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
The Forester track & field program split squads over the weekend, competing against primarily NCAA Division I competition at both the Tennessee Invite and the We Fly Challenge.
Sprinters, mid-distance runners and jumpers made the trip south to Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium at the University of Tennessee, while distance runners and throwers competed closer to home at Briner Sports Complex on the campus of Ball State University. Despite the high-level competition, Huntington turned in several standout performances, highlighted by personal bests and movement in the program record book.
On the men’s side, Jayden Williams delivered one of the top performances of the weekend, clocking a PR of 47.88 in the 400 meters to move from sixth to third all-time in program history. Kharrington Terry also etched his name into the record book, clearing 1.92 meters in the high jump for a personal best and the sixth-best mark in school history. In the field, Caleb Farr turned in a strong showing in pole vault, placing sixth with a clearance of 4.46 meters against a deep field.
On the women’s side, Molly Harding broke into the top ten in program history in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 18:09.35 to rank eighth all-time. MacKenzie Brewer highlighted the distance events with a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:30.31), while additional top-10 finishes came from Emma Schiffli in pole vault (7th, 3.37m) and Anna Jeannin in high jump (9th, 1.60m).
Huntington returns to action April 17-18 for the Indiana Little State Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
