WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

The Crossroads League announced its 2026-27 Women’s Basketball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-League Team earlier this week, with Huntington University earning four selections, including a pair of First Team honorees.

Senior Liv Raby and senior Annaka Nelson were named to the preseason First Team after earning First Team All-Crossroads League recognition at the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. The duo is among 10 players selected to the league’s top preseason squad.

Senior Bailey Kelham, who sat out last season, earned a spot on the Preseason Second Team, while junior Addie Shank also landed on the second team to give the Foresters four representatives across the two squads.

In the preseason coaches’ poll, Saint Francis was picked as the league favorite after compiling a 30-5 overall record and a 15-3 mark in league play last season. Marian, Indiana Wesleyan and Spring Arbor followed the Cougars, with Huntington rounding out the top five.

HU enters the 2026-27 season looking to build on a successful 19-12 campaign in which the Foresters finished fourth in the Crossroads League standings and returned to the NAIA National Tournament. Huntington advanced to the Round of 32.

The Foresters kick off their season on October 29 when they travel to Fort Wayne to take on Indiana Tech at 7:00 p.m.
