Don’t have plans for Fall Break? The Friesen Center has got you covered!
Join us this Fall Break for a night under the stars as a part of our virtual fundraising event for the homeless on October 18–19. This One Night Event kicks off on Monday with a trip to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission at 3:00 p.m. We will hear testimonies of those who have been impacted, take a tour of the facility, and learn about homelessness in the USA. Chick-fil-A Sandwiches will be provided for dinner. The deadline to register for this event is October 14.
Upon return to campus we will prepare for our night under the stars. Feel free to bring tents, sleeping bags, pillows, snacks, or whatever you need to make it through the night. In the morning we will continue our service experience with breakfast together, followed by volunteer service at Community Harvest Food Bank from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pizza will be provided afterwards.
To donate to the virtual fundraiser, visit fwrm.org/onenight and select the Huntington University Friesen Center Team to help us reach our goal.
Let’s all fall in service together and make a difference in our community!
