Huntington University junior Zach Goodline is one of the nation’s top players as recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) earlier today. Goodline was voted an Honorable Mention selection this season as one of six Crossroads League players to earn All-American honors.

The last Forester to be recognized as an NAIA All-American was Mike Bush in 2018. Since 1995, 17 HU players have accumulated 30 All-American badges including three-time honoree Alex Kock who was named the 2007 NAIA National Player of the Year.

Goodline finished the year ranked fourth among his league peers in scoring with his team-leading 18.3 points per game and third in assists by averaging 4.5 per game. The 6-1 floor general also corralled 3.6 rebounds and swiped 1.3 steals per night.

Against Grace on February 19, Goodline became the 51st Forester to join HU’s 1,000 point club. During his two years in green and white, the Coloma (Mich.) native has racked up 1,091 career points in 61 games to average 17.9 ppg.

Goodline helped guide Huntington to its first NAIA National Tournament appearance since 2014 where they upset #12 Georgetown in the opening round. It was the program’s first win on the big stage since the 2005-06 season when the Foresters made it to the championship game of the tourney.

Goodline and crew wrapped up the season with an overall record of 23-11 which included four wins against Top 25 teams.
