MEN’S GOLF
The HU men’s golf team spent Monday at the Ackerman-Allen Shootout where they fired a 31-over-par 319 to finish sixth at Purdue’s Ackerman-Allen Course in West Lafayette. They Taylor-hosted event was shortened to just one round compliments of the inclement weather.
Mitchell Wilson and Peyton Richmond took top honors for Dwyer’s crew with 78s to finish tied for 20th out of 47 golfers.
Colby Martin carded an 81 while David Beck was one stroke back with an 82. Other scores for the Foresters included Chance Bressler and Kaleb Ketchum with an 83 and 86 respectively.
Taylor topped the leader board with 290 followed by Indiana Wesleyan (295), Marian (304), IU East (312), Bethel (318), HU (319), Wheaton (322) and Earlham (335).
Huntington finishes the year with the Crossroads League Championships on April 25-26 at Chariot Run Golf Club in Laconia, Ind.
