In its first year as a competitive cheer team, the Huntington program had three Foresters tabbed as NAIA Scholar Athletes as announced by the national office.

Seniors Payton Moore (Wolcottville, Ind.) and Vanessa Brown (Hillsdale, Mich.) along with junior Reagan Moore (Wolcottville, Ind.) represented HU as NAIA Scholar Athletes. The trio was three of 234 student-athletes representing 66 institutions to be recognized for their excellence in the classroom.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have attended one full year at said institution.
