The hardware keeps rolling in for Huntington men’s tennis – and this time, it’s loaded with top honors.

Four Foresters earned Crossroads League All-League recognition, headlined by graduate student Julian Tantera, who was named Co-Player of the Year after a dominant spring at the top of the lineup.

The Córdoba, Argentina native went 7-1 in both singles and doubles in league play, teaming with Javier Lopez Real to mirror that mark at No. 1 doubles. Ranked No. 14 nationally by the ITA, Tantera also claims his second career All-League nod while forming one of the nation’s most dangerous tandems—currently ranked No. 3 in doubles.

Huntington’s depth showed in full force with Santiago Sarudiasky and Martin Capdevilla both repeating as All-League selections. Capdevilla, a graduate student from Mendoza, Argentina, was a force at No. 2, finishing 7-1 in singles and a perfect 7-0 in doubles. He currently sits No. 22 in the ITA national rankings.

Sarudiasky, a graduate student from Unquillo, Argentina, was untouchable at No. 3 singles, posting a flawless 9-0 record in conference play while adding a 3-0 doubles mark. He enters postseason play ranked No. 43 nationally.

Rounding out the group is freshman Mateo Batista, who wasted no time making his presence known. The Santa Fe, Argentina native went 4-1 in both singles and doubles play, primarily at the No. 4 and No. 3 spots respectively, emerging as a key piece in Huntington’s championship lineup.

At the helm, Head Coach Ignacio Poncio was named Crossroads League Coach of the Year, a testament to a historic season. Poncio guided the Foresters to a perfect 9-0 league record and their first regular season title since 2013-14.

Huntington (20-4) also claimed runner-up honors in the conference tournament and currently sits No. 10 in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll and No. 5 in the ITA rankings. With the accolades stacking up, the Foresters now turn their attention to the national stage. Huntington earned an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championships for the second straight year and will face Oakland City on May 12 in Mobile, Alabama.
