WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington women’s tennis team placed a pair of standouts on the Crossroads League All-League squad, led by senior Isabella Herrera, who collects her third straight all-conference honor. The Bucaramanga, Colombia native once again anchored the Foresters at the top spot, finishing 4-5 in league play at No. 1 singles while going 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Joining her is junior transfer Yariange Bello, who made an immediate impact in her first season in green and white. Competing primarily at No. 2 singles, the Caracas, Venezuela native posted a 5-4 record in conference play and teamed up with Herrera to form one of the league’s top doubles duos, combining for a 6-2 mark at the top flight.

As a team, Huntington hovered on the national radar all season, receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll while finishing 13-12 overall and 6-3 in Crossroads League action to secure a fourth-place regular season finish. The Foresters carried that momentum into postseason play, advancing to the conference tournament semifinals.
