MEN’S TENNIS — Correction

An earlier version of our ITA Regional Championships recap incorrectly identified the Men’s Open Singles champion.

The ITA Regional singles title was won by Mete Koseoglu, who defeated fellow Forester Mateo Batista in an all-Huntington championship match. After the two players split the opening sets, the title was decided in a match tiebreak. Koseoglu prevailed 11-9 in the deciding tiebreak, which is played to 10 points and requires a two-point margin, to capture the regional championship.

With the victory, Koseoglu earned the ITA Regional singles title and secured a berth to the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia, this October.

We regret the error and apologize to Mete, Mateo, and our readers for the mistake.
