MEN’S GOLF
The Forester men’s golf team closed out its regular season slate at the Sagamore Shootout, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, April 20-21.
Huntington posted a two-day total of 651, improving by 13 strokes from round one to round two with scores of 332 and 319 to finish 11th in a 12-team field.
Steven Webb led the way with steady play, carding identical rounds of 77 to finish at 10-over-par 154, good for a tie for 21st in a field of 63 golfers.
Carter Hall followed with a 157 (79-78) to tie for 29th, while Josh Kling (87-83) finished at 170 for a tie for 53rd. Trey Spring made the biggest jump between rounds, shaving 11 strokes off his opening day to finish at 173 (92-81) for 57th, and Mason Reeves rounded out the lineup with a 175 (89-86) to tie for 59th.
Marian topped the leaderboard with a two-over 578, followed by Taylor (593), IU East (601), Spring Arbor (610) and Marian B (612).
With the regular season in the books, the Foresters now turn their attention to the Crossroads League Championships, set for April 27-28 at Coyote Crossing in West Lafayette.
