Sophomore Steven Webb carded a career-low 2-under-par 69 in Tuesday’s final round to spark a second-day surge, propelling the Huntington University men’s golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Stonehenge Invitational hosted by Grace College at Stonehenge Golf Course.

Sitting in sixth place after an opening-round 314 (+30) on Monday, the Foresters shaved 17 strokes off their team total in Tuesday’s final 18 holes, firing a 297 (+13) to climb two spots on the leaderboard. Huntington concluded the 36-hole event with a total team score of 314-297—611 (+43) in the six-team, 33-golfer field on the par-71 track.

Webb spearheaded Huntington’s turnaround, rebounding from an opening 83 with a collegiate career-best 69 on Tuesday. His 36-hole total of 83-69—152 (+10) vaulted him into a tie for 12th place individually. Sophomore Carter Hall matched Webb for the team lead on the individual leaderboard, tying for 12th with a steady 74-78—152 (+10).

Freshman Griffin Husband turned in a solid two-day effort to tie for 18th place at 79-76—155 (+13). Freshman Brecken Christner posted a 78-81—159 (+17) to finish tied for 25th, while sophomore Mason Reeves bounced back in round two with a 74 after an opening 86 to tie for 28th at 86-74—160 (+18).
